Latest projects for the Bahamas Electricity
Corporation involved a 32 MW diesel extension bringing capacity at
Clifton Pier power station (pictured) to 150 MW, making it one of
the largest diesel stations in the world Power stations
are a special area of expertise – we’ve engineered, procured and
brought into operation a wide range of electrical generating plant
and mechanical systems for power stations on behalf of public and
private producers in Ireland, Africa, the Middle East and the
Caribbean.
Our power generation experience encompasses technologies ranging
from fossil fuels to renewables – where our latest role includes
engineering support for the 72 MW Meentycat development in Donegal.
Our services also extend from power transmission and distribution
schemes – such as a study for a 220 kV crossing of Ireland’s widest
estuary – to work on CHP and boiler installations for industrial
customers such as Pfizer, Guinness and Conoco Phillips.
We specialise in diesel power plant engineering, with an unrivalled
portfolio of large slow speed and medium speed projects in the
Caribbean and Indian Ocean. Single and combined cycle gas turbine
and steam/desalination schemes also feature strongly in our
experience record.
Substations, SCADA, overhead lines and both underground and
submarine cables for systems ranging from 400 kV to Low Voltage are
included in our track record for customers such as ESB National
Grid, Ireland; National Grid Co (UK); BEC, Bahamas; BVIEC, British
Virgin Islands; CUC, Cayman Islands; Lucelec, St Lucia and GPL,
Guyana.
