St Patrick's Street urban renewal

St Patrick's Street
We helped the urban renewal scheme of St Patrick's Street by providing project management, engineering design and co-ordination, quantity surveying and supervision.

Work on the project included extensive natural stone paving for pedestrian and delineated traffic areas together with surface water drainage, custom design street furniture, tree planting and other urban design features, plus
  • a main carriageway consisting of two vehicle lanes, one in each direction, and two boundary lanes for buses, taxis, deliveries and drop down zones
  • access to side streets is across ramped pavements
  • pedestrian and traffic controls.
Existing underground services were rationalised and additional services incorporated or upgraded to minimalise the risk of future excavations on the street.

The project also involved the construction of pedestrian spaces and traffic calming measures for St. Patrick’s Street and Grand Parade. The scope of this Phase 1 section works related to St. Patrick’s Street from Merchants Quay, around Daunt Square and down Grand Parade to the north boundary line of Washington Street.
