Rossaveel Harbour developments

Rossaveel HarbourThe existing port facilities at Rossaveel are to be extended.

Mott MacDonald Pettit was appointed by the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resource, to develop the port layout plan and to prepare detailed design for a new Ferry Terminal and a Deepwater Quay. The Ferry Terminal will comprise of finger piers to service the existing fleet of high speed ferries operating between Rossaveel and the Aran Islands. A reclaimed area will provide access and parking areas and support infrastructure. The Deepwater Quay will provide 200m of berth with depth alongside of –8.0m CD. The work will include dredging, reclamation, marine structures and onshore infrastructure development.

The service we provided included masterplanning, preparation of an EIS, planning applications, detailed design, contract administration and supervision of construction.
